Visits to school

As you will probably know, Trinity Academy Leeds serves one of the most deprived wards in the country and everything that we do at TAL is designed to lift our young people out of poverty and help them to shine brighter.

As such, we are happy to welcome visitors but would appreciate a small donation of £65 that covers the cost of a small bookcase. Through our Family Library Initiative, we gift one of our families a bookcase in return for our dedicated staff time. We will also give you the opportunity to present the bookcase, should you so wish, to the child who has been selected! The bookcase will be dropped at the child’s house and will be used to store their school work and a collection of books for all their family to enjoy over time. We hope that this is something that you are happy to donate.

All visits last approximately two and a half hours and we are keen to tailor them to your interests. Please let us know any element of our school that you are particularly interested in finding out more about and a date that suits you. We hope you can join us in our TAL venture to inspire our students with the love of reading through our Family Library Initiative.

It was brilliant to see a school in action with such a strong mix of structure, precision, and careful thought.
I cannot tell you how impressed I was with what I saw. The clarity of the school's vision and the execution were truly exceptional.
Leadership is highly energetic and collegiate which results in impeccable standards and a consistent experience for students.
TAL represents a staggering achievement: a triumph of hope, aspiration and rigour in a community which has been failed by those who have come before.

Absolute clarity of vision which is set by the inspirational principal has continued to inform each decision and every procedure in this school.

All staff and students continue to buy into TAL and are proud of the school that is been created. Staff feel privileged to part of something which is so special. They speak incredibly highly of everything about the school. Leadership is highly energetic and collegiate which results in impeccable standards and a consistent experience for students. The school is even stronger than on my first visit. Student’s voice is stronger in lessons and around the academy. Staff in just six months not only know and understand the routines but own them. · There is utter genuine care from everyone in this school. Well done to everyone at TAL for what you are achieving.

In essence I want to make it clear that TAL represents a staggering achievement: a triumph of hope, aspiration and rigour in a community which has been failed by those who have come before.

In essence I want to make it clear that TAL represents a staggering achievement: a triumph of hope, aspiration and rigour in a community which has been failed by those who have come before. In a very tough part of Leeds, with the backdrop of covid as well as myriad other challenges, you and your team have crafted something near miraculous at TAL. The diligence and expertise with which you have approached every detail. The astonishing rigour with which ideas are implemented and iterated amazed me at every turn. But the way in which you bring these details to life with compassion, generosity and love is perhaps the most remarkable feature. The result is a school which reverberates with joy and achievement. This truly is your third way. The experience for children will be transformational both for their own life and for their loved ones. Without doubt they will reach higher, shine brighter and see further. At times it was moving to watch, listen and understand the workings of the TAL. I do not write that very often. Anyway, I cannot wait for my next visit and to see the school continue to build.

Please could I ask you to pass on my sincerest thanks to Kat and the rest of the team for welcoming us to TAL yesterday.

I cannot tell you how impressed I was with what I saw. The clarity of the school's vision and the execution were truly exceptional, and I am so excited to reflect on what can be applied in my own school context. All of the staff we met were so generous with their time and rightly proud of the school that you are creating together.

I was inspired by the clarity of thought that has gone into every single part of your offer. It was clear that you have meticulous implemented your vision for the community.

Everything looks beautiful and is unbelievably ‘slick’ but also has such depth behind it. I have not really seen these two things combined before and it was inspiring. It was clear that both students and staff rightly felt that it was privilege to attend and work at the school.

Thank you for creating such a special school and showing us what is possible. The young people of Burmantofts are incredibly lucky to have you and I look forward to following from afar their progress over the next few years - I have no doubt that they will go on to truly incredible things.
