Healthy Eating

At Trinity Academy Leeds, our lunch is called ‘Community Lunch’ because all students, staff and visitors eat their lunch together in our Refectory.  This encourages a positive and harmonious atmosphere in addition to increasing levels of supervision and support for our students.  We promote the importance of establishing healthy eating habits from an early age. Students can enjoy a varied range of meals, snacks and drinks in our onsite Refectory. Our dedicated team cook, bake and create food in-house.

Natasha’s Law was introduced on 1st October 2021, and is named after teenager Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who tragically died after suffering an allergic reaction caused by eating unlabelled food. Under Natasha’s Law, we must list all the ingredients on the individual packaging of products that are considered “pre-packed for direct sale” eg sandwiches.
Many of our vegetarian meals are also vegan, this is indicated on our menus were applicable. The meat that we serve is Halal so that all of our students may enjoy our freshly prepared dinners.
Allergen information for the plated meals on our servery is available upon request at all times and is updated regularly.
